Joy Fairfield

Facilitator Joy Brooke Fairfield is a theatre artist and sexuality educator/activist.

She works primarily in new play development and has directed the West Coast premieres of Quake, Patty Red Pants, We Are Not These Hands and Adventures in Mating, as well as the world premiere of Franklin and Figaro.

She has worked as producer and co-host of the late-night sex-positive talk show SexLife Live, and has created educational theatre programs for Planned Parenthood.

Joy has studied ensemble-generated theatre development with Anne Bogart and Holistic Peer Counseling with Teri Ciacchi. She was trained in performance, literature, and gender theory at Harvard College, and sees the theatre as a powerful tool for individual and social transformation.
