Jess Smith

Originally from Vermont, Jess Smith moved out West for college where she completed a double major in Psychology and Theatre with a minor in Music at the University of Puget Sound. She then moved to Seattle and began working as a Teaching Artist, Director, Actor, and Singer.

She has worked for Seattle Repertory Theatre for three seasons and now serves as Education Associate. She has been able to work with companies such as Seattle Rep, Village Theatre, Live Girls!, Harlequin Productions, Second Story Rep, and Youth Theatre Northwest in varying capacities over the years.

She is currently also busy working on a devised dance theatre piece, two new plays that will run as part of Live Girls' Bakery and Quickies series and running a multidisciplinary training group for local artists.

This Fall she will return to the East coast as she begins in the MFA Directing Program at Columbia University.
