Gina Young is a nationally-touring singer/songwriter,
playwright and performer who comes to Seattle by way of
Brooklyn. An Honors Scholar in Drama at New York
University's Tisch School of the Arts, Gina was most
recently seen in Black Nativity at the Intiman. New York
credits include the title character in Prozak and the
Platypus in staged reading at the Westside Theater, and
Jewel in staged reading of Sheila Callaghan's Dead City at
New Georges.
Gina has written four full-length plays which have seen
sold out runs Off-Off Broadway at venues such as the WOW
Cafe Theater and HERE Arts Center, and honored with a Time
Out New York Critic's Pick and a space grant from the
Brooklyn Arts Exchange.
As a singer/songwriter she has toured the entire U.S. and
Canada multiple times. She was a featured artist on the
2005 VANS Warped Tour and is currently recording and
touring as one-half of synchronized-dancing electro duo
TEAM GINA.
